One of the world’s hottest RnB superstars will be playing at London’s O2 Arena for 5 nights in February. After 6 longs years, fans of Grammy award winning superstar, Usher, will be delighted to hear that he will be returning to wow his British fans as part of his highly anticipated and acclaimed OMG tour.
After selling out at other UK venues including Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool and Birmingham his extra date at the O2 arena will give thousands the opportunity to see this multi-platinum selling music icon perform some of his biggest hits from his latest album “Raymond vs Raymond” which rumours have suggested is Usher’s take on the demise of his marriage and subsequent divorce from his stylist Tameka Foster, whom he married in 2007. Foster suffered a heart attack during cosmetic surgery in early 2009 and was medically-induced into a coma and later recovered. However by mid-2009, the hit artist had filed for a divorce.
Despite his turbulent private life and the speculation of his art mirroring his life events, Usher in concert is still one of this year’s hottest gigs to be seen at and an extra London date was added due to overwhelming demand. Fans will hear him perform his best-known hits and tracks including Yeah, Love in This Club, Caught Up and DJ Got Us Falling In Love.
Usher recently won the “Best R&B Artist” at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards which celebrates artists that the fans choose in movies, music and television. What sets this award apart from the others, is that it is the music fans who decide the nominees and winners rather than industry peers.
London O2 Arena dates are: 2nd, 3rd, 17, 18 & 21st February 2011. Doors open at 6:30pm
Tickets are available from AEG Live and despite sell out dates elsewhere, there are still standard tickets available as well as VIP packages that include an exclusive meet and greet whic is a must for any massive Usher fan.
There are a selection of restaurants within the arena vicinity including Pizza Express, Frankie & Benny’s, Las Iguanas, Zizzi and many more. There’s pretty much something for every taste within easy reach of the arena.
